Medium for cultivation of halophilic microorganisms
Taken from the Halohandbook by Dr. Dyall-Smith.
Modified growth medium, 23% (MGM23), 1 L:
Component | Amount |

Peptone (OXOID) | 5 g |
Yeast extract (OXOID) | 1 g |
Bacto-Agar (Difco) (optional) | 15 g |
Salt water 30% | 767 mL |
Tris 1M, pH 7.5 | 5 mL |
Distilled water | up to 1 L |
Adjust the pH to 7.5. Autoclave for 30 min at 121 °C.
